Young love is a beautiful thing. It can happen suddenly; without expectation or escape. This was the case for young Christopher Novotny as he was bartending one night in Prague. He had left his home in New York behind in an attempt to 'discover his familial roots' and had gotten a job on a work visa for a year. Prague had been made all the more intriguing and wonderful after meeting the smiling, precocious, Zora and the two had connected immediately. Before his visa had expired the couple was married and Zora soon found herself pregnant. The newlyweds decided that the best place to raise their budding family was back in the U.S.A. and so, they left the old-world charm of the Czech Republic behind. Taking a job as an office manager for a construction company in Dobbs Ferry; the Novotnys settled into a two bedroom apartment and prepared for the arrival of their baby.

Aimie Romana was born at 9:13 in the morning on the twenty-second of June after several painful hours of labor. There were complications that would leave the baby girl an only child, but thankfully Mother and baby made it through their ordeal. Aimie was a happy, bouncy, baby who grew up splitting her time between Dobbs Ferry and Sleepy Hollow (where her paternal Grandparents lived). Life for the small family was a typical one, but her memories were filled with activities, love, and much attention from her family. Zora had long-since broken contact with her own family, but the blonde beautician did her best to educate her daughter and raise her with all of the values and traditions from her native country that she could. As a result, Aimie grew up in a bi-lingual household. Her Czech is rusty now, and she can't read or write it, but she could speak and understand it fairly well. A bit shy as a child, Aimie was affectionately nicknamed 'Myska' by her family and was often called 'Little Mouse' by her Grandfather. Aimie loved spending time with her Grandparents and took every opportunity to do so; whether it be weekends, school breaks, or summer holidays. Of course, it helped that her best friend lived nearby and Sleepy Hollow wasn't far from Dobb's.

The summer before Aimie went into the eighth grade her Grandfather decided to retire from the family business that his Father had started in the 1950's. Christopher decided to step-up and take over Novotny's Hardware and Farm Supply, and the family left Dobb's Ferry behind. They settled down in a cozy brick house in Sleepy Hollow, which now allowed for the budding teenager to be closer to Phee and her Grandparents. High school followed a year later, opening the girl's eyes to the idea of growing up. She was a late-bloomer, physically, and didn't really get her first boyfriend until the end of sophomore year. It hardly seemed to matter to her, though, as she was constantly busy with school work, her friends, helping out on her Grandparents' small farm, and cultivating her own gardens at home. Aimie loves plants. They help her meditate and focus, and she prefers eating things that she knows the origins of. Factory farming upsets her, as does the GMO craze. She is against pesticides as well and tends her gardens with love and diligence. Life in high school was fairly normal and seemed to pass by in a flash. Puberty came and went, as did her boyfriend (although they remained good friends), and she managed to graduate in the top 30 of her class. Real life was fast approaching and the blonde had to make some of her very first grown up decisions during her senior year.

College was something that she'd been contemplating since childhood. It was a difficult choice to make but, she decided not to go and, instead, focused her attentions on getting a job and moving out on her own. That summer, after graduation, her parents sat her down and told her something that changed her life forever. They were getting a divorce and Zora was moving back overseas. Aimie had been upset, at first, but when she realized that it would make both of her parents happier she began to relax. Zora had struggled with the ways of America since her arrival, and Aimie wanted her mother to do what was best for her. The pair are still close and speak numerous times a week on Skype. Her mother now works in London as a make-up artist in the British film industry. Life from eighteen to twenty-five was filled with the usual making of mistakes, partying, exploring whatever looked interesting, and finding herself.

In the fall of 2014 Aimie landed a job as a sales clerk at an antique store in a neighboring village and ended up reconnecting with an old friend from her childhood. She loved her job and works hard. Recently her Father moved out of the family home to help out his parents at theirs and, to help out his daughter, he allowed her to rent it with the intention of buying it over time. She found a roommate that she could live with, and has put a lot of time and effort into turning it into their home. She has her friends, her gardens, her pets, and a roommate that she loves. That's all she feels she needs at this point in her life.
